about

The TENT was a surround sound installation which formed part of a major new WWI exhibition, Working Life to War Life. The exhibition was designed to be an immersive space in which all senses are infused with a variety of artwork, visuals, created items and film footage.

The centerpiece of the exhibition, an actual WWI tent, was a thought-provoking, compact zone where adults as well as children could enter; experiencing explosive audio and touching words. The effect is to sample the emotional turmoil that a tight space brings, given impending injury or death at any moment, and the thoughts countered with that of family and home and all the memories that this can trigger.
